                          MELONNEE'S NEW LATIN/FUNK BAND - "Pacific Rhythm"

*Melonnee is in rehearsals with her new music/band project - a hot new Latin/Funk 
group called "Pacific Rhythm", featuring Melonnee on bass and lead vocals; Dan & Lori Delih on congas and percussion; Mic Otwell on sax; Gary Clontz on guitar; Sarah Smith on keyboards and vocals; and Norman Keown on drums and vocals.  Stay tuned for upcoming places and dates of the band's performances, which will be listed on her CALENDAR link of  this website, and in local media advertising.

*Melonnee is a lead vocalist, bass and guitar player, having performed professionally throughout California for the past 30 years.  She performs with incredible emotion and energy that moves and engages her audiences wherever she is performing.  She comes from a family of musicians where her mother sang professionally “big band” tunes of the 1940’s, and her uncle played the club circuit throughout the United States.  Melonnee started singing and playing music at the age of 9 when she sang with her mother, and also learned how to play guitar.  Melonnee later learned how to play bass guitar and keyboards.  

*Music reviewers have described Melonnee’s music, voice, performance, and style as powerful, passionate, energetic, and soulful, whether she is performing her own original music from one of her four CDs, or cover songs from other well-known artists.   “She interacts with and engages her audience making for an extremely enjoyable event for who ever comes out to either watch, dance or just listen to Melonnee…”  Melonnee’s many musical influences are diverse and include:  Bonnie Raitt, Pete Escovedo, Santana, Melissa Etheridge, Marcus Miller, Sting, Shawn Colvin, David Sanborn, Richard Elliott, Stevie Wonder, Earth, Wind & Fire, Mariah Carey, Michael Franks, Sheryl Crow, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, B.B. King, Etta James, Tracy Chapman, Aretha Franklin, and others.
